Welcome to the new Sensational Six webpage!
Hi! My name is Lacey Lucas and I am the 2005-2006 District Six High School Rodeo President. This is my fourth and last year of High School Rodeo. I'm a senior at Liberty High School in Bakersfield and enjoy staying involved with all kinds of activities. My events include barrels, poles, breakaway, cutting, team roping, and goat tying. The district is already getting ready for the Sensational Six Chute-Out that is held in Clovis, our multi-district rodeo is one of the largest CHSRA rodeos. With over 26 new members the district has grown to have 53 members that have become like a large family and its great how everyone is getting involved to help out the district in any way they can. This years student officers are Vice-Pres.- Aubree Karkula, Secretary- Amy Witt, and State Rep.- Jordan Ketcher.
For those interested in High School Rodeo it is not only a great way to get involved in the great sport of rodeo, but also to make many new friends, have a life time of great memories, have a chance at scholarships, stay out of trouble, and become a leader. To compete you must have over a 2.0 grade point average and have good conduct and attendance.
Next year I know I will miss all the friends and family I have made over the last four years and just High School Rodeo.
