David S. Whitley, Ph.D., RPA, Owner and Principle Investigator
Dave Whitley received his Ph.D. from UCLA in 1982 and has worked throughout the western states, as well as in Guatemala and southern Africa. He is a member of the French Ministry of Education and Culture's Research Advisory Committee for Chauvet Cave, containing the world's oldest art; is an Anthropological and Archaeological Advisor to the Ventura County Cultural Heritage Board; and is an Adjunct Professor in the Dept. of Geography at Arizona State University.
Whitley was formerly Chief Archaeologist at UCLA (1983-1987), Prehistoric Archaeologist for the State of California Historical Resources Commission (1986-1987), and the US Representative (1993-2004) to, and a member of the Council of Directors (1997-2004) for, the ICOMOS Rock Art Committee.
Whitley has published 15 books and monographs and over 70 articles and book chapters, including books and articles translated into French, Spanish, German, Danish and Slovakian.
According to the South African Archaeological Bulletin (2000):
"Whitley [is] North America's (and perhaps the world's) foremost research on rock art."

Joe Simon
has over thirty years of archaeological experience in the western states
and is an Anthropological and Archaeological Advisor to the Ventura County
Cultural Heritage Board. He is an expert in soils stratigraphic analysis
and geoarchaeology.

is a historical archaeologist and trained human osteologist who has worked
in California, Guatemala and southern Africa.
